NADESSTU Owo Chapter celebrate her 21st year Anniversary in Grand style

Nadestu: National association of Delta state student celebrate her 31st Year Anniversary as student's from walks of life celebrate with them.

It was a moments of joy in Rufus giwa polytechnic, Owo as the National association of Delta state student celebrate their 31st year Anniversary, even in a grand style.

The event which was graced by Scholars, Delta student leaders, Staff of the institution and National delegate of the union. The program which was held at the Institution Central cafe was over crowded with Deltans and well wishers from other clime.

The opening remarks taken by Comrade Atsuwete Toju Oluwasegun A.k.a Toju right, stressed the needs for youth to start addressing the need of the deltans, that it is high time focus are shifted from Oil to other means of getting income. "Oil is gradually loosing is credibility in the world market, there is need to start shifting focus to other ways to make Delta great" he said.

He further posited that, all hands must be on deck to support the Delta state Governor, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, who he described as a digital Governor. He stressed that Deltans are known for success and excellence he therefore enjoin the participants not to come short of such.

In the meeting was an erudite personality, Mr Dennis who doubles as the Guest speaker, who in turn spoke on the need to note the challenges facing the oil producing state, including oil spillage, rise in militancy, unrest and hazards caused by oil.

The student were also reminded of the readiness of the government to pay their bursary, and also start registration for new bursary.

The event shows culture at its best, both in songs, words spoken, food menu, dance and competition. One unforgettable experience was the OGOGORO contest, with the winner been a lady, proving that what a man can do a woman can do better and best.

The event teaches that power is transient, and at such should be use wisely, the outgoing executive has laid a landmark which was learnt from erstwhile executive.
