APC PRIMARIES: Suspended Priest wins primary election

Mr. Hyacinth Alia, the suspended priest in the Catholic Diocese of Gboko, has won the governorship ticket of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Benue state.

The priest won after polling the majority number of votes at the primary election. The election was conducted with a lot of intrigues, as political observers believed both the opposing camp (PDP) and some selected few members of the APC do not want the priest to win.
