2023: Let the youth compete - Atiku

Former Vice President Alhaji Atiku Abubakar had said the youth should compete for power come 2023. This he said while responding to news men while he visited former President Chief Olusegun Obasanjo at his Ota home, in Ogun state.

The Wazirin Adamawa was quoted after being asked 'Sir, they are talking about age, that the elderly people should allow the youth to take over, he Atiku cuts in "Let's the youth compete now, it's competition, it's democracy.

This comments is coming at the height of youth clamour for power, telling the older generation to step down for them. This comments is also at the fore in the light at which major player in the 2023 bid are big wigs, elders and people who have been in the corridor of power for such a long time, like of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Former Senate President Anyim Pius Anyim and others.

Asiwaju had one time jokingly said "the youth will become President after me" in a viral video making the rounds on social media while addressing the Alafin of Oyo, Oba Adeyemi at the his palace.

The Question: Can the youth become President come 2023?
